It is so sweet watching two very good friends get married. We first met Jayme + Wayne a few years ago when Wayne’s son Max and our son Max were in Kindergarten together. Over time we found our boys becoming best friends and we found the adults spending more and more time together too! Jayme always greets me with a hug, and leaves the sweetest notes and little gifts on our front porch frequently. Wayne is brilliant, funny, and knows everyone. One of his groomsmen called it the “Wayne factor” in his toast, and everyone laughed and nodded along knowingly.

From the earliest planning stages, I learned that the wedding would take place at Jayme’s parents’ farm near Onarga, Illinois. Her parents have a really nice barn that is more like a guest house which is where the guys got ready. The ladies got ready in the main house, and the reception was set up in a tent on the edge of the property. The ceremony was at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gilman, and I adored the moment that Jayme’s dad gave her away to Wayne. The look on his face tells so many emotions.

Jayme loves all things rose gold (especially her engagement ring!), so there were lots of rose gold accents throughout the wedding. One of my favorite details at the reception was the sock-shaped cookies, each with individual numbers, because Wayne has a habit of numbering his socks in a very rigorous schedule.

I am definitely biased, but Wayne + Jayme had the most adorable flower girl ever. ;) If she looks familiar, it’s because she’s my daughter Hadley! My son Max also made a couple appearances in the post because the Max Duo was pretty inseparable. And near the end there’s even a photo of yours truly with my husband and the couple. We danced the night away and shut the place down. Our kids were exhausted, but they had the best time!
