Fairyhouse Hall wedding styled shoot | The Reset Conference

I recently attended the annual Reset Conference in Lexington, KY, where I always get a fresh look at my business and learn a few tips and tricks to further my skills and things like marketing and social media. The first two days were jam-packed with education, and then the third optional day was set aside for styled shoots and 1-on-1 mentorships with photographers and creatives from around the country. This year I purchased 2 add-on styled shoots — one with Trene’ Forbes Photography from the DC/Maryland area and one with Rebekah Albaugh, a fellow Champaign colleague.

A few days ahead of the conference, Trene’ posted her mood board for this wedding styled shoot and I was instantly excited for it! She chose deep, bold tones for this shoot and said she’d always wanted to photograph a black wedding dress, so that’s what we did! She brought in some local-to-Lexington vendors to round out the shoot with florals, design, stationery, rentals, and the cake.

Oh, and I can’t forget the chicken! There were a few animals on the grounds at Fairyhouse Hall, but the chicken was by far the most friendly and least intimidated by a large group of photographers. Ha!
