Emily + Ramsey | Urbana Courthouse elopement
Last Friday I had the distinct pleasure of photographing another wedding at the Champaign County Courthouse in Urbana. These intimate elopements are one of the best ways to spend my lunch hour, and I am so happy that I have 3 of them to photograph this summer!
Emily + Ramsey chose their June 15 date as it was their 5-year dating anniversary, though they've known each other for 12 years! Their adorable little boy Max came along too and got in a few photos, and even got to "sign" as the witness (Champaign County marriage licenses don't require a witness, so it didn't have to be official). :) How cute are his little suspenders?! The couple also invited their immediate family and grandparents to attend, so we also snapped some family photos before heading into the courtroom to see the judge.
Weddings at the courthouse are first come, first served, so you never know how long you'll have to wait. Lucky for us, Ramsey got there early and got us a spot 3rd in line! That allowed us some time after the ceremony to do some photos outside of the courthouse too, which are always some of my favorite portraits -- a bit more relaxed and room to move outside the crowded hallways. I asked them to dance a bit, and then we had them cross the street for the grand finale!
My friend Tori Beach came along too as their wedding filmmaker, and I am so excited to see Tori's finished highlight video!
Congrats, Emily + Ramsey! Best wishes to your little family!
