Becky + Dave | Wedding at Arlington's in Springfield
Becky + Dave have been together for many years, so their children already consider each other siblings, and their grandchildren as cousins. One of their children gifted them with a limo for the day they finally tied the knot, and it was a huge part of making the afternoon go smoothly! The entire family was able to ride together (hence no lost cars or waiting on people to arrive), and the kiddos could head back into the air conditioning when it got too toasty (and it was a HOT one!).
Becky and I chatted via email a bit about where to do the photos, and we ultimately chose Lincoln Park in Springfield with its ornate stone bridge -- luckily it was mostly in the shade! Then we had a bit more time, so we were able to stop off at the Illinois State Capitol for a few more family shots and portraits before heading to the ceremony.
The ceremony and reception were held in the upstairs event space at Arlington's, tucked away in a side street just a couple blocks from the Capitol. Surrounded by close friends and family (a LOT of family!), Becky + David pledged their lives to each other in a moving, heartfelt ceremony, officiated by David's brother. Immediately following the vows, the couple signed the marriage license and we did a slew of family photos (including one photo below of EVERY person in attendance!). Thank goodness for my flash equipment and capabilities!!
Becky's sister Christie did an amazing job on the bouquets, flowers, and decor. Every flavor on the cake table looked delicious, and I love the little touch of a succulent as a thank you favor for the guests.
Congrats, Becky + David!
