Emily + Michael | COVID-19 Courthouse wedding
Emily + Michael were supposed to be married in April, but of course COVID-19 pushed everything back. They rescheduled their new celebration to September, but they didn’t want to wait that long to get married! The contacted me a few weeks ago to ask if I would photograph their courthouse ceremony if they were able to get a time slot.
Everything worked out perfectly! Their guests and I (limited to 8 people total including the couple!) were asked to wait outside while the couple went to the law library to file their paperwork. The courthouse is only allowing 1 wedding per day currently, and so we only waited a few minutes before we were ushered into the courtroom with Judge Rosenbaum.
There ceremony was short and sweet, and then we made our way back outside for a few more portraits and family pictures with the beautiful Champaign County Courthouse. It was a great day!! And I’m definitely looking forward to their September date when they will hopefully be allowed to celebrate with all their family & friends!
