Carra + Matt | Spring wedding at Pear Tree Estate

It’s about the cutest meet-cute I’ve ever heard… girl gets bumped at the Fairbury Fair and gracefully falls into boy, the future Mr. They’ve been together ever since and the rest, as they say, is history!

What you’ve read is true, but there’s more to the story! Matt’s name had apparently been mentioned earlier in the evening, and Carra was just home for a visit, a temporary thing. But fate and the Fairbury Fair had other plans. Also, Carra had been carrying around a fortune cookie that foretold her future as well — their love story is truly written in the stars. God had a plan!

But this story was not without its ups and downs. COVID hit while Carra was pregnant with their ultra-special ring bearer, their son Oliver. Carra is a strong, amazing mama bear though, and she stayed in the hospital on bed rest for 2 months and kept that baby in until it was safe to come out!

I had the most amazing day with this couple, and enjoyed hearing their story told during the ceremony and wedding party toasts. The reception was a blast thanks to the Feudin’ Hillbillys. Pear Tree Estate always makes my job easier, both with a hearty meal and beautiful backgrounds no matter where you turn!
