Three's a crowd

Whew! What a weekend! I ended up photographing the Danville Area Community College graduation Friday night BY MYSELF for Memory Lane, then back to Champaign to help Scott finish up the Parkland graduation. Then I had to get home and get everything charged and ready for the wedding the next day.

I was very honored to be asked to photograph the wedding of Sarah Wackerlin and Tim Spiker. Sarah's mom, Karyl, is a good friend and fellow wedding photographer. I think very highly of her and her work and so, needless to say, I was nervous about this wedding. I took about 850 shots, and she hired a second shooter to help me out during the portraits and ceremony. It worked out very well overall, and I'm pleased with the results. As Karyl said as I handed her the DVDs this morning: "If you're happy with them, I'm happy with them."

In this image, I climbed under the veil with the bride and groom. And, I do mean "climbed." She had a cathedral-length veil that enjoyed getting caught in the wind and picking up twigs and leaves out on the golf course. I think this photo turned out beautifully though, so I don't regret the hassle at all!
