The Reset Conference recap | Grand Rapids, MI

As always, the Reset Conference did not disappoint and definitely lived up to its name — a total Reset! It’s a great way to kick off the busy season, get your business in gear, practice our craft, and set big dreams for our photography businesses. It’s a chance to meet up with long-time photog friends, try new eats and drinks in new cities, and take lots of notes!

I always take pages and pages of notes and Reset, and then once I get home I transcribe them into a word doc to refresh the info in my mind and also for future reference. I have found myself many times over the years going back to past Reset Conference notes to find a quote or little tidbit from one of the speakers.

This year I walked away with lots of momentum and some things I immediately put into practice in my business. There are always a few mind-blowing and light bulb moments I live for those. The speakers are genuine and kind and enjoy sharing with the attendees in an intimate boutique-style conference setting.

One of my favorite things about the conference is the sense of community. It’s usually in a bustling hotel location with lots of common spaces for people to gather. I love finding little pockets of people learning from each other, sharing notes, and simply visiting over a coffee or an adult beverage.
