Ryan + Courtnie | Allerton Mansion Wedding | Monticello, Piatt County
Saturday morning I woke up in the early morning to sound of a hard, driving rain on my roof. I love sleeping when it's raining, so I went back to sleep not thinking too much of it. Every so often I would wake up again and think "that sounds like a LOT of rain." My sump pump was running like crazy. So I started to get nervous. Just before I was about to get out of bed, my phone started buzzing, and I jumped up and freaked out, thinking immediately that it was Courtnie calling to tell me there was a wedding emergency. Turns out it was the emergency alert, telling me there was a flash flood warning for the Mahomet area (and I'm pretty sure Piatt County was included in that). So then I was SUPER nervous. It turns out that most of the grounds at Allerton Park didn't flood too bad, and despite a bit of soggy ground, we were able to get outside still to do most of the images we wanted. Courtnie and Ryan were cool as a cucumbers through it all, and the wedding was amazing. Here are some of my favorite images -- I hope you enjoy them as well!
