Romantic Styled Wedding Shoot | The Reset Conference

The Reset Conference wrapped up this past weekend, and Friday evening I had the privilege of shooting along side Hawaiian wedding photographer Vanessa Hicks. Vanessa planned a romantic styled wedding shoot for us, inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. She chose lots of gold details, as well as a deep wine/burgundy color and lots of greenery since the location itself didn’t have loads of color. We photographed tons of special and intricate details provided by the vendors that Vanessa sought out, from all the way in Hawaii to Lexington, Kentucky. The models were a local-to-Louisville engaged couple named Stephanie + Tyler, and Stephanie is a photographer too!

It was a tiny bit chilly that night, but we had lots of sunshine and the Heigold Facade was such a cool background, unlike anything else I’ve photographed before.
