Prior to Olivia + Jesse's wedding in Davenport, IA at the Radisson, I had only met Olivia one other time when she and Jesse came to my house to go over some of the details of the wedding. I did learn though that she loves anything mint (including the color!). Then, at the reception, I learned that Timber by Pitbull featuring Ke$ha was on the must-play list for the DJ, and now I think we're kindred spirits. LOL! Now, rewind about 20-some-odd years (you don't need to know the exact number!) to when I first met Jesse. We had just started kindergarten in Easton, IL, and sometime during that school year, I was invited to my first playdate by a boy. I don't remember too much about it, except that we rode bikes down their back lane with Jesse's older brother Tyler. We proceeded to finish school together (ALL the way through college at the University of Illinois, in fact), including a few years together on Scholastic Bowl. The rest, as they say, is history. My favorite things throughout the day were: making it Facebook official (I mean, what marriage is official until it's on Facebook, haha!), the special inscriptions on the inside of their rings (*muah* and *smooch* which they often text each other), the gold sequin head table and twinkle lights backdrop, their super-cute personal vows to each other that also complimented one another perfectly, and how excited Olivia got when Jesse got on the dance floor during open dancing. This is NOT something that happens, ever. Thanks, Olivia + Jesse for having me along for your wedding day... it was perfect!
