Nicole + Neil | Intimate backyard wedding in Savoy

In 2019 I had the pleasure of meeting Nicole for coffee one day at Harvest Market. We hit it off and she booked her wedding with me! Then a few weeks later her parents were in town to visit, so we met up again at Harvest Market to all get to know each other a bit better. Then a few weeks after that, Nicole was having her hair and makeup trial done at Style & Grace Salon, so we scheduled her and Neil’s engagement session for that evening. It went so well, we had a great time, and got a ton of awesome images!

Then COVID struck. :(

Nicole + Neil’s original wedding date of May 9 loomed in the near future once the lockdown started. Once it was evident that the wedding wasn’t going to happen as originally planned, they made the difficult decision to postpone. At first, they pushed it back to Sunday, July 26, and I was worried that it wasn’t far enough out. Turns out I was right. :/ They opted to get married on their back patio on Saturday, July 25 with just their immediate families, followed by some photos at a nearby park.

Their big reception is now scheduled for May 2021, and all my toes and fingers are crossed that they don’t have to make any further changes to their wedding day. They are an awesome couple and my wish for them is to have the day they’ve always dreamed about!
