Macy + John | Winter wedding at The Venue CU

Who doesn’t love a good Christmas wedding?! Macy + John’s big day was a fantastic event full of love, light, family, and friends. A few moments that stood out to me were the spit-swap handshake before the first kiss (hilarious!), the women in Macy’s life praying for her before the ceremony, the holiday atmosphere around downtown Champaign for wedding party portraits, John’s cross-country buddies tossing him in the air on the dance floor, and the jingle bell send off.

The Venue CU was full of holiday cheer, warmth, and twinkle lights, and I especially loved the hot chocolate bar & cookie decorating station provided by Michael’s Catering. The bridesmaids were festive in their red dresses, and each woman including Macy wore a snowflake pin in her hair. And didn’t John look dashing in his Army suit?? Macy also had all her details ready to go for me when I arrived, and I also grabbed a touch of greenery and a pine cone from a table to round out their invitation suite & program photos. So Christmassy!

I had the best time sending my 2022 wedding season out with a bang with Macy + John’s wedding. Congrats to the happy couple!! <3
