A few months ago I helped Kaitlin Powell photograph a wedding for some long-time friends of hers. We started out photographing the ladies and the details at the Hyatt Place hotel in downtown Champaign. Then I headed on over to Barrelhouse 34 to photograph the ceremony space, the guys, and some more beautiful details.  Barrelhouse is such a beautiful space and worked really well for Katie + Jake's intimate guest list.  Following the ceremony, we took the couple and wedding party down the street for some portraits while the guests mingled in the courtyard for cocktail hour.  In the meantime, the ceremony setup was transformed back into a bar setup with tables and chairs for the guests' dinner from Black Dog Smoke & Ale House.  Katie's pastel-hued wildflowers bouquets pair perfectly with the mismatched pastels of the bridesmaids' dresses.  It was such a fun, unique take on bridesmaid coordination and we loved the challenge of it!  Katie + Jake's butter yellow VW bug was used an additional prop for some of the portraits, and it worked nicely as a backdrop for the floral and rings photos.  I am a bold color type of gal, but I am loving all these pastel hues and the softness of Katie's bouquet -- perfection!  Congrats to the new couple!
