Irene + Sam | Wedding at the Meadow at Allerton Park
Wow!! What a day!! I mean, it’s hard to go wrong when you throw in a stop at Dairy Queen in the middle of a wedding day. I have so many great memories from Irene + Sam’s day, and many of them involve Irene’s grandfather… he along with many others were also cutting a rug on the dance floor all night.
We also were so lucky to be at Allerton Park while the peonies were (barely) still in bloom! The deep magenta blooms in the foreground with the vine-y walls in the background made for one of my favorite photos of the day! Another special part of the Allerton location, is that Sam + Irene’s first date was there, and we actually did one photo in the very first spot they sat in on that very day.
The reception took place at the Cohen Hillel on campus, which was where Irene + Sam first met and spent many many hours together while on campus. I heard so many stories of good times in that building and it was extra special for the couple to be one of the very first to have their wedding reception there.
A bit before sunset, Irene + Sam took a stroll down to Green street for some golden hour photos. Campus is somewhat of a ghost town during summer, so we didn’t even have to dodge too many cars. We also had to snag a few pics in front of Legend’s where Irene used to work, and Sam used to visit her working. ;)
Lastly, I LOVED watching Irene + Sam’s friends and families on the dance floor… what a fun group! The Hava Nagila was SO fun, and seeing everyone’s joy on their faces was one of the best moments of the entire day. Congrats, Sam + Irene! I wish you much happiness together! <3
