From Birth Photography to Fresh 48 Sessions

I have had the distinct pleasure of photographing several births since I started doing them a few years ago. I have limited them as much as possible and tried to accept them only in my non-busy seasons, but due to the nature of birth, they obviously cannot be scheduled. :) Those babies just always like to have their own timelines!! For this reason and the fact that I have 2 small children myself, I have decided to take a hiatus from photographing births for the time being. I’m going to shift my focus a bit to more Fresh 48 sessions instead which are much easier to schedule! Fresh 48 hospital newborn session

Switching from birth to Fresh 48

What’s a Fresh 48 session you ask? It’s a session done usually at the hospital within the first 48 hours after delivery. Mom, Dad and baby are usually moved to the postpartum rooms, have had a chance to shower and eat, and have possibly invited some family to meet the new baby. I am kept aware of your due date and when you go into labor, and then once baby is born, you contact me to schedule a time to come in for about an hour to document some of those first interactions with your baby. I can photograph siblings and grandparents meeting the new baby, breastfeeding/bottle feeding, dressing baby, details, and a few portraits of the new family together. For a limited time, I will be offering a discount on these sessions, which includes a digital download of the images. Are you expecting in 2017? Contact me to book your Fresh 48 session within about 1 month of your due date. I’m so excited to meet some new babies and document these precious moments!!
