Class of 2023 is out in the world — that means it’s your time Class of 2024!!

Senior session booking season is here, and I promise you — time will FLY over the next year. Trust me — don’t wait to book your session until crunch time! (i.e. May-cember!) ;)

When thinking about booking your session, here are some things to keep in mind.

Plan ahead and book your photographer in advance.

1. Choose locations that are meaningful or reflect your interests.
   I will help you with this! I often suggest locations based on results of your questionnaire, or other info I know about you.

2. Coordinate your outfits and dress appropriately for the season and location.
   Limit your number of crop tops, short skirts, and short shorts, and they limit what poses we can do. We want to give you lots of options!

3. Pay attention to grooming and get enough rest before the session.
   No one wants to look tired in their photos!

4. Stay hydrated for a healthy and vibrant look.
   Bring along that Stanley cup or Hydroflask! And better yet… chug that bad boy a few times the day before your session.

5. Practice posing and expressions in front of a mirror.
   This isn’t a deal breaker as I will be doing much of the posing instruction for you, BUT it is helpful to know what faces and smiles you like on camera beforehand. And PLEASE please be willing to smile (really smile!) for some of your photos. It will make it a much more enjoyable experience for all of us. :)

6. Consider bringing props or meaningful items to personalize your photos.
   I like to incorporate hobbies, extracurriculars, band, sports, etc into your session when it makes sense. Bring your ideas to me and let’s see what magic we can create!

7. Relax, be yourself, and trust your photographer's expertise.
   This is a key point… I know it can be nerve-wracking to get in front of a camera, but we want to you to look and feel as relaxed as possible. Deep breaths and releasing your shoulders helps!

8. Enjoy the experience and celebrate this milestone in your life.
   Your time is now! I hope you enjoy every minute of your senior year, including this session!!
