Choosing to do a Courthouse Elopement

People might choose to elope for a variety of reasons, many of which stem from a desire for a more intimate and personal wedding experience. One of the primary reasons is to avoid the stress and expense associated with traditional weddings. Planning a large wedding can be overwhelming, with countless decisions to make regarding venues, guest lists, catering, and more. Eloping allows couples to sidestep these pressures and focus solely on their commitment to each other. This simplicity can lead to a more meaningful and memorable ceremony, free from the distractions and potential conflicts that can arise when trying to please a large number of guests.

Another reason couples might choose to elope is to create a more spontaneous and adventurous experience. Elopement offers the freedom to get married in unique and personal locations, such as a favorite vacation spot, a scenic natural setting, or even abroad. This can add a sense of excitement and individuality to the wedding, making it a special story for the couple to share for years to come. Additionally, eloping can provide an opportunity for the couple to spend more quality time together during their wedding day, rather than being pulled in multiple directions to entertain and interact with numerous guests. This focus on their relationship and the commitment they are making can enhance the intimacy and significance of the occasion.

Corinne + Joe elected to go this route, and we had the best time together! The ceremony was short and sweet (like almost all courthouse weddings!), and the weather was superb, so we of course went outside for some portraits. After that, we met up with their families at the Japan House for some more group photos and portraits.

How cool is Joe’s green suit? I loved it! I also loved Corinne’s custom-painted nails (done by a friend) to match her shoes! Love their style!!
