Christine + John | Lake House wedding in Decatur

Christine and I first met at Steeplehouse Coffee Gallery in Monticello, in the town where she and John grew up. We had a great meeting, and she booked their wedding with me for Allerton Park.

Then COVID happened.

So Christine + John had to pivot and decide what to do instead. They added on a mini engagement session so we could all practice posing together, and they could get some images as a couple in case they had to reschedule all of their 2020 wedding events.

Ultimately they chose to do a small family-only wedding at her parents’ lake house on Lake Decatur, and it was the most gorgeous evening with a perfect sunset, warm weather with a slight breeze off the lake, and calm water under the dock.

I’m looking forward to their full wedding reception in 2021, but am so glad we had the chance to get them married in 2020!
