Casey + David | Urbana courthouse wedding + Helms Park
If you’ve been reading my blog for very long, you know that I’m a sucker for a lovely courthouse wedding! I just can’t get enough of them! It’s like a perfect little lunch hour for me, packed full with love, a small gathering of family + friends, maybe a few details to photograph, and usually a little time for some romantic portraits just after. The judges and bailiffs are always so welcoming and kind to us. I’ve heard several judges say they don’t often deal with happy events, so the weddings are a nice change of pace for them. Casey emailed me months ago in preparation for her courthouse wedding in July, and we because social media friends over the months since, so I felt like I was meeting an old friend at the courthouse that day. David was so sweet also, and couldn’t stop smiling! I actually had to ask him to stop smiling a couple times – haha! Casey + David brought along a little turtle sculpture they bought in Barcelona where they got engaged, as well as an old ring box that made for some great detail photos. After the courthouse wedding, we had plenty of time to do some portraits with their family outside, and then we headed over to Helms Park to finish up their session. Congrats on your marriage, Casey + David!
