Carly + Jason | Smith Memorial Hall wedding | Urbana
What a unique, heartfelt, and personal wedding Carly + Jason had! Their ceremony was completely custom-tailored to each of them and their relationship, and it was so cool to see nearly their entire wedding party, plus a few other family and friends, take part in it. There were poems, music, personal anecdotes, and the grandfather of the bride performed the ceremony! Then we moved on to the reception, which was just as personalized as the ceremony with nods to musicals and plays that Carly's family loves so dearly. The maid of honor's speech was even full of lines from various musicals that the girls grew up watching together (complete with bibliography at the end!). The Orpheum was decorated so elegantly, and the blue uplighting just gave the whole place an amazing atmosphere, which helped make for some really cool images. These are a few of my favorite things (see what I did there!?): throughout the day were recreating both an engagement session photo we did last fall, and then a photo that was taken on one of the first nights Jason + Carly met, Carly's amazing full-back lace dress, the black feathers in her bouquet, the bicyclist riding through one wedding party photo (!), the Orpheum bathed in blue light, and Nigel's, uh, memorable best man speech. Ha! :) Leave a comment below for Carly + Jason, and after 50 comments, they'll receive a complimentary 11x14" mounted print of their choice. Enjoy!!
