Bailey + Dylan | Wedding at The Venue CU Champaign

Friday was a dream!!! It was a privilege to watch Bailey + Dylan say their vows in front of so many family & friends at The Venue CU.

The afternoon started out with some detail photos, and then separate photos of the bridesmaids and groomsmen as the couple opted to not do a first look. We had the most perfect summer day drenched in sunlight!

The ceremony was short and sweet, but full of heartfelt vows and lots of laughs. After the ceremony, we took two cars (including Dylan’s BMW convertible) down Green St. to get some photos of the couple with the Alma Mater and the Hallene Gateway & fountain. It was SO MUCH FUN driving down the middle of campus with a wedding couple. At a couple of stoplights, my second shooter (Hi, Mike!) and I jumped out of the car to snap some photos and videos. One business owner along the heart of Green St. even came out onto the sidewalk with his bullhorn to wish the couple well! I’ll never forget it!!

After that, we headed back to downtown for family and wedding party photos. And then it was time for Bailey’s favorite thing — the speeches!! There were I think 6 or 7 in total? ;) Dinner was set up as food stations by Pan & Cake Catering and was delicious and amazing as always.

Then DJ Dan got the party started with dancing, the bouquet toss, and lots of singing along (especially to Taylor Swift!). My very last shot of the night was Bailey + Dylan enjoying their late-night snack — Domino’s pizza! 🍕
