What a dream wedding Ashley + Matt had! Ashley adores the color yellow, and she incorporated the happy color in a very classy and subtle way while still making a visual impact. We started out the day at the Shear Image Salon in Mt. Zion while my second photographer Teran met up with the guys at the bride's aunt's home in Decatur.

Following the ceremony at Holy Family and the bubble exit, we were able to get into the reception space at the Decatur Conference Center to get some photos of the decor without any people in it. I was thrilled when Ashley told me we'd have that opportunity -- I don't often get to photograph the reception venue untouched by guests!

From there we went on to downtown Decatur to Taproot and for some fun candid shots in the street while we waited for the bus to return from its parking spot. Those few minutes were some of my favorites moments of the day -- a groomsmen on the phone trying to call the driver, another groomsmen running into Jimmy John's for some fuel, and a bridesmaid taking a minute to cool off. It also gave us a chance to goof off in the street for a few group photos and candids -- it was a welcome chill "break" time!

The recently renovated Decatur Conference Center was immaculately decorated with lush florals by Flowers by Kristine, mirrored centerpieces, gold chiavari chairs, pintucked tablecloths and gold charger plates, with wine bottles as the table numbers. The five-tier cake by Cake Artist's Studio was the stunning statement piece in the middle of the room. The TVK Orchestra kept the party going all night long! Congrats, Ashley + Matt! Your wedding was one I'll remember for a long time!!
