Amazing Ways To Involve Your Dog in Your Wedding Proposal

If you and your partner are both animal lovers, why not let your dog help you pop the question? Dogs make fantastic message bearers and distractions so your intended gets the full surprise. Check out these amazing ways to involve your dog in your wedding proposal.

Give a Dog as a Gift

Maybe you and your partner don’t yet have a pet together, but you know you want one. You can pick out a new puppy or adopt a loveable friend from a shelter and give them to your partner as an engagement gift. Who can say no to a proposal when they have a new furry friend in their arms?

Put the Ring on the Collar

Ah, yes, the old classic. One of the easiest ways to surprise your partner with a proposal is to put the engagement ring on the dog’s collar and get them to run over to your partner. When they notice the ring, you can pop the question.

For a variation on the classic, you can also have a new collar or dog tag made with “Will you marry me?” written on it. These versions are a little more subtle in case your partner has the eyes of an eagle and will see the ring right away.

Go for a Walk

If you and your partner like to take your dog on walks together, you can turn the routine into a surprise proposal. Have the proposal set up in advance, preferably with friends and family to guard the setup and be ready with cameras. When you turn the corner, your partner will see the proposal sign and all your friends, and you can ask the question.

Dog Clothing Proposal

Another cute way to involve your dog in your wedding proposal is to give your partner a cute dog sweater or blanket. When they turn it over to look at it, it will have the question “Will you marry me?” on it. For bonus cuteness, make sure to have one of your engagement photos include your dog wearing the sweater.

Using your dog to help you propose is a classic method that many animal lovers adore. Before the big day, make sure to take your dog to a professional groomer so they look their best. There’s no way your partner will say no to both you and a cute, well-groomed pup!
