Amanda + Steven | Alto Vineyards, Alto Pass, Illinois wedding
Amanda + Steven planned a gorgeous winery wedding at southern Illinois' Alto Vineyards. There's an Alto Vineyards location in Champaign too, but this one is the "mothership," so to speak. :) Amanda + Steven have to be one of the most affectionate couples I have worked with lately. Steven could not stop gushing over his bride all day, and it was so, so adorable to witness and photograph. Living in unpredictable Illinois, I don't get to do as many outdoor ceremonies as I'd like, and this one will be hard to beat -- absolutely perfect weather, blue skies with just a few clouds, plus a pond and vines in the background. These two had several personal touches worked into both the ceremony and reception as well, including two friends singing + playing guitar during the sand ceremony, exactly 1,000 handmade origami birds for good luck (made by the couple and some of their wedding party), Instax cameras and film (like Polaroids!) for their guestbook, and beautiful decorations consisting of blue tones, burlap and wildflowers.
