Beth + Ryan | Buena Vista Farms Wedding | Chapin, Illinois
I told myself this year that I was going to refrain from talking about the weather on every single wedding I posted, but the weather was too crazy and too much a part of Beth + Ryan's day to avoid it! You'll notice that during our portrait time before the wedding, it was as bright and sunny as could possibly be, and we struggled to find shady spots big enough for the entire wedding party! Then you'll see the sky starts to get darker and darker until it was a deep, gorgeous blue behind the pergola for the ceremony. I was really hoping to catch some lightning in the background, and though I was trying to constantly shoot throughout the double-quick ceremony, I didn't catch a bolt. :( As soon as the wedding party was out of the ceremony area, the rain unleashed. And it rained and rained pretty hard for a while, quickly flooding the tent, and making a few of the vendors very nervous. It eventually cleared up though, leaving us with a beautiful rainbow and deep orange sunset. The weather for sure likes to keep me on my toes!
