Abigail + Stephen | Pear Tree Estate wedding | Champaign
For starters, Abby's dress was one of the prettiest and most unique I have ever photographed! It was a deep champagne (maybe even a cafe au lait?) color and had different layers of color under the top mesh layer (blue/pink). I hope I did it justice in these photos! Stephen was all spiffed up from his normal teacher garb in a dark suit, and smiled and laughed with his bride all day long. For their book-themed reception, they brought in a TON of old used books as centerpieces and table decoration, and each table had a book title instead of a number. Guests used library cards from library catalog drawers to find their seats. Stephen teaches English and Abby is an avid reader, so it fit them perfectly. We even pulled in the line "Always" from one of the Harry Potter books for one of their ring shots (special thanks to my second photographer Emily for the idea!). Everything was tied together with gold sequin and navy tablecloths, gold satin dresses, and white & blush bouquets. One thing Abby + Stephen did that was also unique for me was a donut table instead of a cake table! They did have a cake that they cut, but the guests chose from an assortment of donuts for their dessert instead of cake. How fun! We also used Abby's grandfather's black 1964 Thunderbird for a few photos, which was a fun little addition. :) Leave a comment below for Abby + Stephen, and after 50 comments, they'll receive a complimentary 11x14" mounted print of their choice!
