Abby + Jim | Hudson Farms wedding in late October

I absolutely LOVED spending the day with Abby + Jim for their fall wedding at Hudson Farm in Urbana. These two have a sweet love story that weathered the storm of a pandemic, loss of loved ones, long distance, and lots of baking! ;)

Between the ceremony and reception, we headed out to downtown Champaign for a short visit to Seven Saints, the site of their first date. They sat at the table where they sat that night, and one of the hors d’oerves at the wedding was tomato soup and grilled cheese, which is what they dined on that night!

Fatefully their first date happened just a week before the pandemic lockdown, so during that time there were many hours of long-distance phone calls that took place. During that time, their relationship blossomed, and they soon knew there was to be much more for this couple!

Following the trip to downtown, we made it back just in time for a spectacular sunset at Hudson Farm! I’d say we maxed out that sky and created some epic photos!

A few favorite things of note from Abby + Jim’s wedding: the orange phone that recorded well wishes from guests, the Little Debbie zebra groom’s cake that Abby + Jim baked together, the custom velvet ribbons calligraphed by Apricity Ink, and the special homemade dog treats that guests could take home to their 4-legged friends. There were numerous personal, thoughtful touches throughout Abby + Jim’s wedding, and I smile thinking back on the entire day!
