I got my new desk in that I LOVE and I can’t work without my new monitor anymore. I don’t know how I edited for so long without it.

This weekend I have a family shoot and an engagement shoot. I’m looking very forward to both! Saturday evening I’m also going to check out Music among the Vines at Alto Vineyard in Champaign as Candy Foster and the Shades of Blue take the stage.

I’m planning on being in the Mason City/Easton area on the weekend of June 20-21 (Father’s Day Weekend). If you’re in that area and are needing pictures of your family or children (or seniors!), please let me know!

Do you remember that old country song? I’m not really looking for something in red per se, but I am looking for some specific things. If you fall into any of the categories below and are interested in getting a good deal on your session or package fees, please let me know! A couple rules: sessions must take place in Champaign-Urbana-Savoy (the outdoor wedding is exempt from this) & sessions must be scheduled and completed by May 24, 2009 (weddings also exempt from this). Warm weather is coming!!

A few people have asked why I’m doing this promotion. There are a few reasons:
1) Mostly I’m looking for a few different (& possibly new) images to add to my portfolio.
2) I haven’t done an outdoor wedding since 2006 and I’d love to do one with loads of natural light instead of inside a church where there usually isn’t much light.
3) I have a couple great new portrait session locations that I’ve been DYING to try out! You can’t know what they are though until you book the session with me!
4) I’d like to do an “anytime” session with a hot, young & professional woman who doesn’t necessarily NEED her picture taken right now, but at the same time, she hasn’t had a professional picture taken since… maybe college? high school? her wedding 5 years ago? Or maybe she’s always getting pictures of her kids, but not of herself? Here’s your chance to feel like a model! (I might be able to arrange a makeup/hair stylist for this session too… how fun!!)

In one of the lowest scoring collegiate basketball games in history, Illinois suffered a loss to the Penn State Nittany Lions 38-33 on Wednesday evening. Despite the low scoring, I came out with a few favorite shots. In games where Illinois doesn’t play well, it seems that I don’t get many good shots.

Yours truly is getting married! Aaron asked me to marry him on Nov. 19 and I finally got some good shots of my ring. More about that in a bit…

is going to be my reception photographer, but we’re eloping, so I’m going to have a couple other friends help out with various other events. We’ll have someone on hand to get a few images at the courthouse and then once the weather turns nicer again in the spring, we’re going to put our wedding outfits back on and get some fabulous outdoor shots. It’s is the only way to go from a photographer’s standpoint!!

Oskee, Joanne and I set out one afternoon to get a bunch of pictures for a book Joanne is writing. They used to live here on campus and has many interesting stories from his time here. He cooperated for the most part, but by the end of our 2-hour shoot, he was tuckered out and kind of mad that we kept teasing him by saying “Grandma’s” and “ice cream.” He did get a lot of treats though!!
