Elizabeth + Mark | Champaign CityView Illinois Terminal Wedding

Elizabeth + Mark | CityView Illinois Terminal Wedding, Champaign IL
Elizabeth and Mark are dear friends of mine and Aaron’s. We’ve tailgated with Mark for years and a few years ago, Mark finally introduced us all (Hi Wikiup!) to his long-time girlfriend Elizabeth. They’ve now been together for somewhere around 7 years and finally decided to make it permanent! Thank you guys so much for being great friends and having us as a part of your wedding. I also want to send out a sincere thank you to Mark for ruining many of my photos with his weird faces. LOL… It’s ok though–I forgive you.

I’ll just start with my 2 favorites from the day. Yummy light!!

Green boa sample flushmount wedding album

Forbeyon green boa wedding album
I squealed with delight when I got the email notification from Forbeyon that my sample album was on its way! I tracked it at least twice a day then until it arrived. I was on my way to the studio and nearly running late, but I swung by my house to pick it up so I’d have it to show at a wedding consultation that very day. I was literally picking up the packing peanuts when my new client walked in the door! And here are some images of it in all its gloriousness! I know there are a couple people anxious to see these. :)

I cannot stand snakes, but I just want to hug this album all the time because it is so, so beautiful.

This is a 10×10″ album with 24 pages. Additional pages are always an option!

I often get asked about the center of my albums because people worry about gaps (gutters) or splits on people’s faces or other important elements. I’m happy to say that my albums have NO gap, but I always try to avoid putting faces smack dab in the center of the page. As you can see below, there is only a small crease because the album is made to lay flat.

Sarah + Kevin | University of Illinois Arboretum wedding

Sarah+Kevin | University of Illinois Arboretum wedding
Sarah + Kevin were married on October 9 at the University of Illinois Arboretum followed by their reception at Kennedy’s at Stone Creek in Urbana. It was an unseasonably warm day, but we made the most of it and took as many photos as possible outside near the reception site and again outside on the golf course. I kept an eye on the clock so we wouldn’t miss sunset!

You may remember these two from their snowy engagement session last February. It’s been one of my most popular ones to date! This time though, instead of about 25 degrees, it was near 85 degrees!

With a 4pm ceremony and ample portrait time, we had some great light to work with and we weren’t rushed one bit! To any of my current and future clients, contact me if you’re unsure how to schedule your wedding day leaving plenty of time for relaxed portraits.

Hey, Sarah + Kevin? You guys need a huge canvas of this on your wall. I’m just sayin’. :)

Radiant! There were jokes by one groomsman about how Sarah had painted on her smile that day.

Sarah wanted a remake of the now infamous bridesmaid shot that is immortalized in a 40×60″ canvas on my studio wall. :)

Sarah + Austin | Mahomet engagement session

Sarah + Austin | Mahomet engagement session
I think Sarah + Austin were a tiny bit nervous at the start of their engagement session, but by the end they were pros! And this particular instance just goes to show even more how and why I love doing engagement sessions with my couples prior to the wedding. Even if you don’t necessarily need engagement photos, it is great for all of us because it gets you (my brides and grooms!) comfortable in front of my camera and it helps me learn your quirks and photographic tendencies (blinking, half-smiles, etc). I am so looking forward to their July 2011 wedding now!!

They told me they couldn’t do serious. Pffft. They underestimate me and themselves! :)
