Mindi told me at her wedding a couple weeks ago that I need to stop posting pictures of my garden because hers is ridden with weeds and it makes her sad. Well, she’s flying home from her honeymoon now, so hopefully she won’t see this! :) Oh, and this photo is straight out of the camera (SOOC) except for the watermark.

Mindi: Brat! Mom and Dad mowed my yard b/4 I got home and weeded down all my dead veggies. Mom said they were all dead from not getting enough sun b/c the weeds were taller than the veggies. LOL :) Next year!

Holly: Haha... I secretly wanted you to see it. :)

Mindi+Marty Wedding
I couldn’t have asked for a better prop and backdrop. Mindi’s garter even said “Harley Davidson” and had a hog charm on it. Love it!
Marty and Mindi were married at the Wesleyan United Methodist Church in Urbana and then had an amazing reception at the Hilton Garden Inn in Champaign. And I think by the end of the day, even Marty was enjoying having his picture taken!

Here one of Mindi’s bridesmaids was applying her last bit of makeup before heading to the church:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one. Mindi’s bridesmaids and mom are standing there soaking the beautiful sight in and snapping a few pictures of their own!

This is not from their “First Look”, but about 20 minutes or so after. It may has well been though! Look at that smile!

I found out who all the vendors were but the florist. Does anyone know? I’d love to link to their website if they have one!

After the ceremony, the wedding party took a ride in the Z Entertainment Hummer limo and ran out of beer. So obviously, they stopped at Piccadilly for more refreshments. I have to say it was my first time taking pictures in a liquor store with a bride and groom and I hope it won’t be the last!

This is my favorite of their first dance shots:

I am loving the father-daughter dances lately!

Forbeyon Wedding Album

July 15, 2009

Our album
My wedding consultations will now have a new twist as I have the new 12×12″ 24-page size album to show! This is the size album that is included with Package #1 for both 2009 and 2010 (except the cover will be black with the option to upgrade). It is beautiful, large and gorgeous! You really have to hold it in your hands to see how awesome the craftsmanship is. Forbeyon is so awesome and I wouldn’t use any other album company!! Also, the photographs in this particular album (from our Mr. & Mrs. Session back in May) were taken by the lovely Val at VWC Photography. The design was done by me both from scratch and with the help of some templates from Tofurious. It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the cover image is printed on metal.

I don’t think I could love it more. It turned out exactly as I had hoped. I can’t wait for my 2009 brides to get their hands on their albums too!!

Oskee Take 3
You may remember Oskee from his two previous sessions here and here. Well Joanne is close to wrapping up the book, and she and a friend came up with one last idea to tie the book all together at the end, so we had to shoot it. Joanne and I have a habit of getting together on the 4th of July (twice I went to Quincy to see her) and this time she came to Springfield to see me! I was in Springfield for a wedding and a pool/birthday party for Nevan, so it worked out perfectly. I cannot wait until this book is published! Joanne has worked so hard on it!

And I finally got a photo with Oskee! I can’t believe I neglected to do this all these times we’ve been taking pictures of Oskee (and Joanne too!). Please excuse the freshly-showered-but-no-makeup look I was sporting. Ha!

Oskee says: “I’m going to get some ice cream. Check ya later!”

Our first homegrown pepper!
We made stir fry tonight with our first garden pepper. I made Aaron pose with it and then he took a pic of me too. He’s making a dorky face and I wasn’t wearing any makeup so that’s why we’re both out of focus! :) Plus this post is all about the peppers, anyway!

The R family ordered both a metal print and 2 canvases following their family session. I love ordering new and big stuff, so this order was a lot of fun for me to tackle.
