Margaret & Matt | Married!

M+M Wedding
On Saturday, I was the second shooter/assistant for my friend Rob of Still Life Photography in Bloomington-Normal. We met up with Margaret first at her parents’ house near the Bloomington Country Club, where she and her bridesmaids got ready for the day. The photo above is after Margaret is ready and chatting with her bridesmaids while her mom looks on from the left.
(There are a lot of vertical photos in the set, just FYI!)
The flowers have arrived!

Margaret was already emotional before Matt even arrived, just thinking about him in his tux. They had their First Look upstairs and I was at the bottom of the stairs waiting when they came back down.

A few shots in the back yard…

Then out to the country club for some more outdoor wedding party shots…

As the primary shooter, I rarely get a shot of the bride entering the church with her dad, so it was really sweet to get to stay in the back and capture this moment.

They had a bagpipe player in front of the church following the ceremony. Pretty cool!

After the ceremony, we went back into a church for a few more bridal party shots and the family shots. I snapped this one of Margaret while Rob was positioning her for her alone shot.

Featured product | Metal license plate prints

One of my clients asked today to see a sample of a metal print and I realized I’d never blogged about the license plate I ordered a couple months back. This is a great idea for both teenagers and seniors. There are other sizes of metal prints as well, other than the license plate. This size and the 4×6 are $30 and the sizes go all the way up to 10×20″! Other options available are rounded corners, hanging hardware and drill holes.

The R Family portraits

Rose Family
For Father’s Day weekend, I was able to do a family session for the R family and also hang out with my dad back in my hometown area. Nikki became a fan of my work from everything that I post on Facebook and wanted some pictures of her boys, their family and her parents. Despite the heat, it worked out really great.

Nikki’s brother, Chad, was one of my classmates from kindergarten all the way through high school, and I have to say that the oldest brother looks a lot like his uncle to me! I had a great time hanging out in Easton with you guys!
Rose Family
The whole family–including Grandma & Grandpa and excluding Dad–are St. Louis Cardinals fans. They all donned their redbirds jerseys and wanted to make sure that we got a back shot of them all wearing Pujols #5.

This guy was so cooperative even though he kept looking away from the camera!

And finally, a dip in the pool… cannonball!

My green thumb

Veggie garden
I’m actually growing vegetables this year! And despite the poor choice of planting location and the REALLY poor soil we planted them in, they seem to be doing well. They do get lots of sun and the rain here every other day seems to be good for them.
