Roganne & Matt’s wedding was in Peoria, IL. If they look familiar to you, it’s probably because I did their engagement session back in April! This was another 4-H House wedding, so of course it was a lot of fun with TONS of people I hadn’t seen in a while… some since college. These are some of my favorites:

My college friend Sara was married in 2003 and now has two beautiful girls. She saw my post a couple months ago offering a free TTD session to any bride who was willing to get her wedding dress dirty. Sara immediately jumped at the chance. Man, was she a trooper! She told me as we were driving to the location that she was ready and willing to do anything for a great picture. We did lots of “dry” shots first before she waded out into a creek. Here’s the sample shot (again, I will post more once I get through some post-processing):

This session was the morning after Roganne and Matt’s wedding, so I was a little tired and achy, but it was SO fun and totally worth it. I’m glad it worked out! And I hope more brides (both present and former) will be jealous and want to have a TTD session as well.

p.s. ladies… you don’t HAVE to get your dress completely dirty or even wet. As long as you don’t mind a little dirt, we can work something out!

This is just a quick post for Roganne & Matt’s fans! I was so excited when Roganne told me we’d be meeting on the Riverfront. We did a majority of the couple and wedding party shots down there and it really got my creative juices flowing. If you like this one, JUST WAIT until I post my absolute favorite shot of the day! Today I was thinking about how my internet presence had probably changed drastically over the past year, so I Googled (isn’t it funny how that’s a regular verb now?) my full name in quotation marks. I came up with 5 of the top 10 results! My business came up as the first result both with and without quotation marks.

So then, I Googled wedding photographers in Urbana in the business listings, and I am the top result!

There are more wedding photographers in Champaign, so I come up there as the 10th result, but still on the front page. Somehow though, Allyson over at Sweet Pea Photography

I’ve sent a few on to my mom and my grandma (Hi to both… because I know you’re reading this!) to hand out to people at work and church and wherever else they come upon potential brides. Heather found me online & asked if I could shoot her & Scott’s engagement photos here in Champaign even though their wedding is in Iowa. So we met up outside of Beckman Institute on the UI campus for some cool shots and then headed over to West Side Park for a little change of scenery.
